Welsh Libraries – bookmarks are a handy tool!


Did you know that children who read for pleasure do better at school?

WelshLibsSchoolsJust one of the reasons why Welsh Libraries are aiming “to provide every primary school child with a FREE library card”.
Bookmark People have produced handy bookmarks for Libraries Wales and these are also being given out, starting with children aged 8/9 in six specific local authorities.

Cymru’n Cofio Wales Remembers 1914-1918 

Another project utilising the handy library Bookmark is Cymru’n Cofio Wales Remembers.

We’ve just delivered this suit of five bookmarks designs to all 22 authorities in Wales.
Wales has more than 300 library service points which attract 14.8 million visits a year.



Cymru’n Cofio Wales Remembers 1914-1918 is a campaign is lead by Welsh Government, working in partnership with key organisations from across Wales. It’s the official campaign to mark the centenary of the First World War in Wales. It’s a focal point for information on the latest news, projects, events and signposting services for the commemoration taking place 2014 to 2018.
