Brighton – take time out…

A recent example of a localised campaign see Brighton Libraries “favorably impressed”. They’re using their bookmarks to promote their mood boosting health and wellbeing resources.

They asked customers what their favourite mood boosting books were, and resulted in a  great selection of mood boosting reads to lift spirits and improve wellbeing. Brighton Libraries 14 Libraries saw 1.5 million visits last year. That’s 61,000 a fortnight.

Backing this Brighton and Hove Sustainable Transport have realised the value in the public libraries’ reach into the community, and are benefiting from an investment featuring their breeze up to the downs” promotion on 10,000 Library Bookmarks.

Breeze up to the Downs is a network of three bus services linking the city with some of its most popular countryside destinations. The buses run every weekend throughout the year.

So expect to see readers breezing up to the downs and escaping into a jolly good read! Incidentally, the libraries have just linked up with some Healthwalks; to encourage walkers to come in to the library.  Fresh air beckons!
