Spring is springing and as well as a selection of new reader development themes “Who knows where a book might take you” we have also
been busy completing work for Enfield, Hertfordshire, Redbridge , Torbay and Doncaster…
Enfield Libraries are promotion their Internet provision and resources and in turn Healthwatch Enfield are seeing their “Your Voice Counts” promotion distributed on 10k bookmarks throughout the borough.
Hertfordshire Libraries are promoting their Toddler Tales and their eLibrary for children. The latter bookmarks will be given out in specific primary schools in Hertfordshire. The backing supermarket sees their message featured on 10k bookmarks reaching children and parents.
Another Healthwatch promotion in conjunction with the Alzheimer’s Society is making good use of 2000 bookmarks in Doncaster. Nationally local Healtwatch organisations have realised the value in Bookmarks: taken by readers and read in the comfort of their own homes, with a cuppa and a good book!
It’s that time of year again, and again Redbridge Libraries are featureing their Children’s Book Award with the short lists on their handy library bookmarks – the RCBA is a popular event which highlights the best new reading for children and teenagers.
Library staff repeatedly tell us that one of the most popular use of library bookmarks is simply to relay important info like PIN numbers contact details and Library Opening Hours. For example; here Slough Libraries and Torbay Libraries have made good use of bookmarks for just that purpose.
