For 16 years I supplied virtually every public library in the UK with their own bespoke tailored Library Bookmarks.  Alas, ‘Bookmark People’ is no longer able to fulfil demand and so regrettably we hung up our boots in Spring 2016.

‘Bookmark People’ designed, produced and delivered,  unrivalled value for money bookmarks; distributing to libraries, schools and universities throughout the UK – it’s what we do!

Bookmarks are gifted, taken home by readers and read in a receptive environment.

Legoland measure in the classrooms

ChildwithLegoMeasureFollowing our other successful classroom campaigns, this month sees Legoland’s measure bookmarks reaching primary schools in Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey.

These educational ‘measure’ bookmarks feature characters from Lego. Supported by NACE, these simple and effective bookmarks are designed to feature measurements, fractions and percentages for young children. See other campaigns here.

We work in partnership with the ‘National Association for Able Children in Education’ to deliver educational bookmarks supported by responsible advertising messages to children and students in UK schools.  The National Association for Able Children in Education specialise in supporting teachers in providing teaching and learning for able, gifted and talented pupils.

Legoland are promoting their curriculum based workshops and school trip packages. ‘Building a creative school trip, brick by brick’

Beanstalks and Fractions – Educational Bookmarks

JackATBeanFollowing previous years’ successful campaigns, we see Bradford Theatres’ Jack and the Beanstalk Pantomime again featuring on our NACE Educational Bookmarks in Leeds, Bradford, Kirklees and Wakefield as well as Public Library Bookmarks in Bradford.

Our ongoing partnership with NACE, the ‘National Association for Able Children in Education’, sees Educational Bookmarks delivered carrying responsible advertising messages to children and students in UK schools and colleges.

From Oct. 2015 we see 60,000 Educational Bookmarks carrying Jack and the Beanstalk promotions through Bradford libraries and Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield & Kirklees Primary Schools.
In 2014 we featured Snow White, in 2013 Aladdin, and in 2012 we featured Cinderella on 60,000 Educational Bookmarks.

This September we see our Educational Bookmarks being distributed to primary schools in Coventry and Leicester. Working in partnership with the ‘National Association for Able Children in Education’ we deliver educational bookmarks supported by responsible advertising messages to children and students in UK schools.

NaceLetterThe National Sea Life Centre’s Octonauts promotion is featured on ‘seaside’ themed NACE educational bookmarks delivered to Primary Schools in these areas.

The National Association for Able Children in Education specialise in supporting teachers in providing teaching and learning for able, gifted and talented pupils.

Supported by NACE, Bookmark People have designed and produced these “What can you see … A-Z bookmarks.” These simple and effective bookmarks are created to stimulate and challenge young children.

Bookmark People is proud to be working in partnership with NACE to deliver responsible advertising messages to children and students in all UK schools.  First appointed to the COI Framework as an approved supplier 2005, Bookmark People now offers a flexible route into the school environment.

Reaching Further and Higher Education Students

StudentsImage2015We’ve worked with various institutions to produce campus bookmarks; for example bookmarks promoting Student Services. Colleges and Universities have found this a very useful way of distributing and leaving their details with their students.

The backing sponsors’ investments are rewarded by seeing their promotions keenly distributed to the student body and beyond.

For example:
An Electoral Registration promotion was carried on 10,000 bookmarks though the University of Northampton.
They reported “We have been distributing the bookmarks through our residential life team within the student accommodation, in the Students’ Union and also at events taking place on campus, They were handed out in halls of residence, at register to vote events and in student communal areas within the University.”

We are always highlingting the value of libraries to the community as well as indivuiduals. I recently came across a neat piece by the University of Virginia LibraryWhat Happens After Opening A Book?“.
After the spate of “what happens after drinking a can of Coke”, “what happens after eating a Big Mac” type IGs,  University of Virginia Library produced a clever infographic “detailing what happens to a person when you consume a book?”

Focus on Smoking Cessation

Smoking Cessation and Smoke Free campaigns have also recognised the value of Library Bookmarks: a cost-effective promotional vehicle that can compliment, other promotional media streams.

Sheffield Libraries have promoted their 24 Hour Libraries & “Did You Know…?” on their Library Bookmarks.
In turn Sheffield Stop Smoking Service saw their message on 20,000 Library bookmarks distributed via 35 library sites and weighted specifically to libraries in the north of the city.
Sheffield Libraries see more than 108,000 visits a fortnight.

Barnsley Libraries’ Bookmarks
promoted their Online Services and Resources via their 17 library sites.

SWY Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Stop Smoking & Weight Management Service saw their messages on 20,000 Library Bookmarks. Barnsley Libraries see more than 36,000 visits a fortnight.

SoTyneAndWSmokefree

The Libraries South Tyneside, Gateshead and Sunderland made best use of their 40,000 library bookmarks.

This saw a NHS South of Tyneside Stop Smoking Service promotion distributed via 46 library sites. There libraries have a total footfall of more than 145,000 visits a fortnight.
